I just had to try again with a different background, and I am happier with the color combination. I will be submitting one of the Candy Apple images to a website by Michel Oosterhout; he is collecting apple drawings/paintings, his goal is 365 apples, one for each day of the year. To see the apples he has collected so far,

Love the background,it frames the apple so well and the cellophane is opaque and transparent in all the right places.Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThe cellopnane looks fantastic ! It's fun when another artist has painted the same thing.

Another lovely apple painting. Interesting to see the difference between the two different background colours. Great job.
ReplyDeleteA simple subject captured beautifully. That shadowy bit in the foreground makes it for me. ♥
ReplyDeleteLove your candy apples and you got a great style over all too. Did an comment on your Halloween dog painting earlier. Keep on painting.

Beautiful!! It really jumped out as a thumbnail and drew me right in! I also like the previous painting. Wonderful handling of the cellophane . . .

ReplyDeleteYour paintings are really inspiring. Plus it's cool how they look so real and digital at the same time. Oh did I mention the painting of the candy apples made me hungry.
